  11. SmartSoft Announces The Release SmartSoft's
  12. PhoneDialerObjects

  14. MILWAUKEE, WI, March 1, 1994 - SmartSoft has announced
  15. the availability of version 1.0 of SmartSoft's
  16. PhoneDialerObjects.
  17.  
  18. "SmartSoft's PhoneDialerObjects allow any developer to
  19. easily integrate telephone number dialing intelligence
  20. into any application they develop.  The objects perform
  21. an intelligent analysis of a number (to determine if the
  22. telephone number is a local call, a long distance or an
  23. international call) and properly dial it from anywhere
  24. around the world using a modem or by playing DTMF sounds
  25. through the computer's speaker.  The kit automatically
  26. handles all device locks and serial communications with
  27. the modem", said Alberto Ricart, CEO of SmartSoft, Inc.

  29. "These objects grew in response to the many requests
  30. that we had by other developers for the phone dialing
  31. functionality found in our personal information manager
  32. StayInTouch", Ricart added.

  34. SmartSoft's PhoneDialerObjects, is the first set of
  35. SmartObjects published by SmartSoft, Inc.  The objects
  36. are sold in library form, and include sample source code
  37. to an application that uses the kit. Online
  38. documentation is also included.
